Lights On After-school
October 20th was an exceptionally bright day for afterschool programs across the nation. "Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities."
Our children and families here at the Cranston Extended Learning Centers shared our part in this great event. We kicked off our event with our 2nd annual Cancer Survivor Walk, raising over $1,000 for the cancer survivors of St. Jude Children's Hospital!
Our celebrations continued with bounce house fun provided by Space Walk Bounce House and delicious hot dogs and hamburgers from our partnership and friends from Aramark.
